Visa & Invitation Letter

The Rome Visa allows tourists from around the world to travel to Italy. As Italy is part of the Schengen Area, it shares a common border policy with the other Schengen countries. This means that tourist visas are not issued for individual countries such as Italy but for the entire region. Since a specific tourist visa for Italy does not exist, travellers need a Schengen Visa to enter Italy for tourism purposes. The Schengen Visa allows visitors to stay up to 90 days in Italy as well as in other participating Schengen countries within a 180-day period.

To apply for a Schengen Visa, you need to visit the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Applications can be submitted at the embassies or consulates of any Schengen country, but you must apply through the diplomatic office of the main destination you intend to visit.
